PROFESSIONAL WORKSHOP SERIES

A collaborative work by MariElena Del Valle, Interrupting Criminalization along with Allison Budschalow and Aarati Kasturirangan, Dragonfly Partners
Sometimes, the most principled choice a group or leader can make is to leave, to let go, or to bring something to a close. When We Fall Apart supports movement leaders and organizations in navigating breakups without denial, punishment, or avoidance, while staying aligned with their values and long-term visions for justice.
About the Workshop
Developed from the "When We Fall Apart" movement primer, this workshop offers a structured and compassionate approach to navigating breakups in movement spaces. Breakups may include individuals leaving organizations, leaders stepping down, coalitions dissolving, or groups recognizing that they can no longer move forward together.
Participants are invited to slow down, reflect, and build the skills needed to make discerning decisions about staying, leaving, or ending work together, without replicating the very systems of harm they seek to dismantle.
